Take a rare opportunity to focus on Biblical and 20th Century episodes which reveal the courage and heroism of Jews and the power of G-d. These examples of heroism also inspired awe in other cultures which the Jews encountered. Explore wildly diverse and surprising outcomes of these engagements. Some examples are: In the Book of Joshua, a prostitute named Rahab, who lived in Jericho who courageously assisted the Israelites in capturing the city; the Jewish communities in the Balkans in the 1990’s and Jews in the FSU who defied the Soviet authorities and studied Judaism and Hebrew underground.
