Hebrew for Credit

Hebrew for Credit is an accredited high school language program with AdvancED, accepted at your high school for foreign language credit

I have had the opportunity to learn and appreciate the Hebrew language. It has been both a rewarding and worthwhile language learning experience, and I hope someday to put my Hebrew skills to great use on future visits to Israel.
— Mat, Chaparral High School

Hebrew for high school language credit, taught in the context of a Jewish school, provides our teens a unique and special opportunity to strengthen Jewish identity through language, culture, land, and peoplehood. Students learn Hebrew not only to satisfy their high school language requirement, but to further develop their Jewish identities.

Hebrew for Credit classes meet throughout the school year.

  • Scottsdale Campus meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • East Valley Campus meets Monday from 6:30 - 8:15 PM and
    Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Students acquire a basic proficiency in modern Hebrew developing their ability to perform in all four skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking. The ultimate goal of the Hebrew program is acquiring the ability to communicate in meaningful ways in modern Hebrew.

Through active learning we want to motivate teens, and help them develop their interest in the culture and people of Israel, which continues beyond the school and throughout one’s lifetime.
