The Sites and Sounds of Spain's Jewish Heritage

  • Ina Levine Jewish Community Campus 12701 North Scottsdale Road Scottsdale, AZ, 85254 United States (map)

Join Travel and Lifestyle Photographer, Jay Chatzkel as he explores with you Spain’s Sephardic Jewish Heritage– Barcelona, Girona, Madrid, Toledo and Cordoba. You will discover a world that has been mostly lost for the past 500 years, and is only recently in the process of being reclaimed and honored. In addition to Columbus’ discovery of the Americas, 1492 marks the Expulsion from Spain and the eradication of 2000 years of a rich Jewish culture.

This is an opportunity to further explore Spanish Jewry on the heels of Robyn Helzner’s PASSAGES program, Celebrating Jewish Life in Sephardic Spain
